seth and i love owning our home! we both love to create, build, beautify, transform. seth has done an excellent job making the inside of our home beautiful and really nice. now we're working on the outside. yesterday he rented a ditch witch and dug trenches in the front yard for a watering system, so that we can have a lawn and define our driveway, and also plant some bushes and other landscaping. we are having a BBQ on June 7th - in just a couple short weeks - to thank everyone who has helped us, and celebrate our new house!! i'd like the front yard to look at least like someone CARES!
the bamboo hard floors have been GREAT for James. he has broken them in many many times already, throwing up on them and stuff. thank God it wasn't brand spankin new carpet, because it would already be thrashed! also, he got a star car - this pre-wheelchair thing that is like a "cool" little race car. the star car and the stander work MUCH much much better on hardwood than on carpet, too. check out this video of James with his friend, Liam playing together at the school with seth and my mom and dad... here are some pictures of the living room and James' room almost all done. we still need a gas insert fireplace in the living room, but you can see the bamboo floors and the oak floors that they refinished in the bedrooms, and the french door that we put in and stuff.
