yes, we are dreaming of a white Christmas, but it has been nothing but blue skies and sunny days in Paradise... we're trying to get into the Christmas spirit, but when it's too warm out for peppermint hot chocolate, i just don't see how it's going to happen!! we decorated our tree the day after Thanksgiving, and listened to k-love, since they played Christmas music all day that day. we hung our stockings on the mantle - even a baby one for the baby! we still think the mantle would look better with a fireplace in it, even though we wouldn't be using it just yet... but there are too many other pressing projects (and bills) that are demanding all of our time and money. we hope to be able to get a new front door sometime in January. we asked for home depot gift cards for Christmas! hahaha.
James LOVES the tree, and exclaims, "Christmas Tree!" every morning when he wakes up and comes into the living room to see it. The weather has been good in some ways, because Seth spent the day today raking leaves and bringing a huge trailor-load to the green waste place. James and I went to the hardware store to get a picture-hanging kit today, and they had several beautiful decorated trees on display. James loved it! Then we tried to bring my artwork to pastor Tom at the church office, but he was surprisingly not working (he's a "bit" of an overachiever like Seth :)
Well, I definatley hate how long winter usually seems to last in Paradise, but for Christmas I wouldn't mind some snow... or at least some rain!
