Our Sunday...
Well, God gave us the snow we wanted to get us in the Christmas spirit! The weather quickly went from "summer" to winter, almost overnight, and today just before church started, it started snowing! Everyone was so excited, and a few people even ran outside to twirl in it like a bunch of little kids! It was a really special way to spend the third Sunday of Advent with our church family, enjoying the snow and worshipping our God together...waiting with excitment and anticipation for Christmas day, HIS birthday!
Yvonne Christopher played the piano and sang Christmas hymns to Jesus SOOOO beautifully, truly like an angel... and Chris Reid played my favorite instrument that he plays every year at Christmas time, and that he played at our wedding - the Hammer Dulcimer. It was magical!

When we got home, our attitudes quickly went from spiritual to carnal when James threw up his lunch and Seth and I took our frustrations out on each other (especially me - it seems like I'm always the one to get a yucky attitude the quickest and the worst....sigh). Anyway, we all took short naps, and then when James woke up, he was begging me to take him outside, so I bundled him up and took him out there...for a photo shoot, of course :)
After snapping just a few photos, here comes Daddy... he had heard us and got up from his nap to join us, and with the three of us (well, four) standing outside in the falling snow in our front yard, we apologized to each other, and we both knew that everything was ok. Daddy played with James on the old sled, and then ran around the yard acting goofy, and making James laugh his sweet little laugh.
Then, our neighbor across the street ran out and offered to take a picture of us, so here we are!
