Got the bad news from Les Schwab. there's about $900 worth of work that needs to be done on my car! ouch!! Well, that was the quote that I got from Les Schwab. The good news is that some of it can wait, and the even better news is that our dear friend, Lenny, who is a mechanic, can do some of it for waaay less!
So, today Les Schwab is fixing a bearing on my car (boy language, i know...) for about $200. Then, tonight when i get my car back from them, we will bring it over to Lenny's so he can work on the rear brakes tomorrow, while my mom, James, and I are in Sacramento for James' MRI. We will take my mom's car tomorrow. She just got a new transmission..... sigh....
Anyway, there's also something called a rack and pinion bushing thing or something that's wrong... but i guess it's not that big a deal to "ignore" it for a while... woah..
So, to make a long story short, we're thankful for Lenny!!
On a lighter note, my birthday party yesterday was really fun! It was "the usual" group, plus Brady and Erika and Jordan and "almost" Juliette :) Carla and Tones brought lasagne and Erika and Brady made a salad, and we played Settlers.. then we ate an awesome, DELICIOUS oreo cookie cake that Lyndsey made. Everyone went in on a World Market gift card for me so that I can get a piece of artwork for my living room that i've been eyeing...
Jordan and James played together at my party, and they are getting cuter and cuter to watch. They are interacting a lot more, and they both seem so happy to have a little playmate their own size. They are both first borns, with siblings on the way, so they have a lot in common :) They have KinderMusik together, so maybe that has helped them "develop" their "relationship," too. Jordan's mommy cought them holding hands in the back seat on the first day of KinderMusik, when their carseats were right next to each other on the way to class. And yesterday, Seth said that James kissed Jordan at Sunday School. So, for a 2-year-old (almost 3!) he really knows how to put the moves on! hahahaha.
After the party, we were all EXAUSTED. I think we played the longest game of Settlers i've ever played, and i only ended up winning because Ryan helped me win... knowing that Erika and Brady had to take off, and since it was my birthday and i "deserved" to win... hahaha.
So, Seth, James, and I all took a nap at like 6:30pm, so James and I were wide awake at like 9pm.... I watched the old Winnie-the-Pooh with James in our bed, while Seth cought up on some Shawnie-B (the best LOST commentary guy on youtube)... The time change really messed with me this time!
So, I've been stuck without a car pretty much all day today, and my mom has been chofering me around to my WIC appointment and stuff like that.. it's a nice day today. sunny, but a little bit cold.. i tried to do some sewing, and was reminded of how much i HATE it.
We're having tamales for dinner tonight, but i need to find a way to get to the store and pick up some chips and stuff to go with them.... i haven't planned dinners very well lately... i should get back on a schedule for that....
that's what's up with us!

I have to admit... our kids are adorable, especially together. Can't wait for the next two to make their grand entrance into the world. It will be just as amazing to watch them grow together. You all are a blessing! We love you!
