our trip to Eureka

We had such a nice, relaxing time in Eureka this last weekend, visiting with Adam and Ashley, and holding and kissing little Lucy Lefebvre :)

We got there late Friday night. I drove most of the way because Seth was really tired from a long week of work. The weather was perfect.

Saturday morning, Seth and Adam went crabbing and Ashley and I went to the grocery store to get garlic bulbs, bleu cheese, baguettes, and red grapes. Then, when everyone got home, we went to the beach, and it was so warm! Adam said he's never seen such nice weather at the beach, even in the summer! It was Lucy's first beach trip ever! James crawled right into the water, and played in the sand and waves with daddy. It was sooooo special.

When we got back to their house, James took the longest nap I think he's ever taken! We boiled the crab, and roasted the garlic in their terracotta garlic roaster. We had garlic and crab and bleu cheese on slices of bread, and paired with the red grapes, it was heavenly! All I was missing was some nice pinot noir...... but that will have to wait until June or so... for me, at least.

We played Settlers that evening. It was a really close game, which made it extra fun, and Adam won. He was really really proud of himself.. hahaha. Then we watched an old episode of LOST from season 1 that was on TV.

Lucy is the sweetest, littlest, tiniest, amazingist little baby! I love her!

We visited with Seth's aunt Cindy briefly on our way out of town. The drive home went over without a hitch. James and I both slept part of the way. It rained pretty hard in Redding, but for the most part, it wasn't bad.

It was a PERFECT trip!
