I had SUCH a great Mother's Day today. James went to the preschool class at church again today. Last week was his first time, and he did much better today. He watched the other kids play "duck, duck, goose" and even though he couldn't really participate himself, he still enjoyed it and talked about it later.
After church, Seth went to pick him up from his class, and he had made me a Mother's Day gift, which was these flowers in a pot that he had decorated. He was sooooo proud to give it to me! How I wish that I could have gotten a picture of the moment when he found me and was holding out the flowers for me with the sweetest look on his face!
Then we went to my mom and dad's for lunch, and he played with Daddy and Uncle Lance in the kiddie swimming pool on Grandma and Grandpa's new deck. Daddy kept pouring buckets of water down into the pool with James from the upper deck, and James would say, "again! again!"
He sat on Aunt Lyndsey's lap and ate strawberry shortcake, and he had NO THROW UP all day (which was the best part of my Mother's Day!)
This evening, my mom and I put James in his jogging stroller (the sweet ride) and went on a 2 mile walk to check out a house that some friends of ours might buy. When we got home, I ate papaya and tried accupressure on my inner ankle to "encourage" Josiah to come out already!
I layed down with James and read an Elmo book and a short devotion about twins who look the same but are different in many ways, and we said a prayer thanking God for making everyone different, and for making James just as he is... James kissed Josiah and mommy good-night, and that was that :)
