The diet thing has been going pretty good. I've been able to keep the cholesterol intake really low, which was my main goal. As far as overall calories, i haven't done as well lately as i did right in the beginning, but i've done ok... definately less than i was eating prior to our life insurance application!
I am realizing that it is good for me to be getting in shape and eating healthier - for even more reasons than i realized at first.. like i have more energy lately for James - lifting him all the time, and using his equipment and stuff takes a LOT of energy. When i am feeling energetic, he gets to participate in more things... so that's good. Plus, i've been getting more things done around here, like organizing things, moving boxes of clothes to the garage (maternity clothes, stuff that James has outgrown that Josiah can't wear yet, winter clothes, and stuff like that...)
Tonight we're going to the Bolger's house to have dinner with Adam and Ashley and family... we will probably also go swimming there... i know that Seth and James both really enjoy swimming, so that should be fun. After that, we're going to the church softball game. It starts at 9pm, so that's a treat for James to stay up that late! Especially when he had physical therapy this morning (he tends to be more tired on therapy days). Hopefully he will take a good nap for me this afternoon. That way he (and I) will better enjoy the game tonight...
On Sunday, we're having a Murder Mystery party at our house for Ryan's birthday. We did one once before - about a year and a half ago - for Lyndsey's birthday. That one was a Hollywood theme - this one's a Wild West / Cowboys and Indians theme. I went to Mt. Mikes Pizza and got mustaches for the guys out of their mustache quarter machine! haha! We're getting some straw / hay bails to put in our living room as extra seating (and decoration). The boys are gonna be there, as well as probably Norah and Lucy and Bear, so we might even dress the kids and doggy up in western attire for the party!! hahaha! Even though it makes it a bit trickier, it's fun that some of our friends and us have kids to include in these events now! I can't wait! pictures to come...
