look, mommy, i'm walking!!

ah, the words i've been longing to hear!!!

James has been doing a LOT more standing lately - on his own! This morning he was pushing to a standing position with his legs, but with his hands still on the ground (like making an upside-down V with his body...ya know?).. anyway, i said, "do you want mommy to go get your walker for you?" he said yes, so i brought it in and just left him alone in the room with Josiah while i went to continue my truffle-making in the kitchen....

a few minutes later, i heard...

"LOOK MOMMY! I'M WALKING!"

and ran in there to find this....

ok, so he DIDN'T ACTUALLY MOVE FORWARD by himself, BUT...

he had grabbed onto the walker - by himself - and pulled to a standing position - by himself - and was moving his legs in stepping motions (although not moving forward)...

he didn't want ANY help. he said,

"you stay over there by the wall, mommy. i will walk to you all by my self" (actually it sounds like he's saying "all by my 'wealth' " --- but i got the jist...

haha

anyway, he didn't actually walk by himself - THIS TIME - but... he tried a few more times before he got too tired... kept refusing help.. he wants to do it "all by his-"wealth"

HE IS SOOO CLOSE!!!!
