I don't know about you, but it is soooo hard for me to find jeans that I actually like. Plus, they can be sooo darn expensive! So you can imagine my excitement today when I found these used gap jeans for $8.99 that fit me like they were made for me! yeeees!
So today is ash wednesday - the first day of lent. i know it sounds kind of catholic, but we actually celebrate lent in our home! I started really thinking about it last year. It seems like after the holidays, it's easy to just continue in "feast mode" and indulge in pretty much whatever you want. It just makes sense to Seth and I that The Lord would have us prepare our hearts for Easter by entering into the suffering of Christ through self-denial. We need to be reminded, or we so easily forget the depths of his sacrifice and love. So we are both giving up red meat until Easter, and we each have another separate thing that we are giving up, too. We don't want to get all strict and legalistic and crazy, but we DO want to be reminded daily of the great love of our savior!

Today was a GLORIOUS day!!! It was sooooooo nice outside - perfect, perfect weather!! Josiah and i enjoyed it together all day. it makes me yearn for a landscaped back yard all the more!! i know it's just a tease - that we still have some winter ahead of us - but i am LOOOOOOVING it while i can!

Josiah is CRAWLING sooo well! all of a sudden i will look and realize that he has ventured to the other room! he's soooo cute when he "explores" like that! i am one thankful mama!!

i am sooo jealous of your jeans find...i need some new ones bad and most of the ones in the stores have some sort of holes in them...that's the style...I never thought it would be so hard to find one pair of non-holy reasonably priced jeans in my size!
and yea for Josiah...now when you come our cuties will be getting into trouble together! :)
