It is Thursday evening, and we are all home safely. Josiah had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Lance, and James continues to do really, really well! He has had NO headaches since the new shunt was placed on Tuesday, BUT he has also been drugged up on some pretty good pain meds, too, so we will SEE. He has been chipper and talkative and cute and happy today. We had a great drive home. He's been eating and drinking well, with no vomit. His arms and legs are moving about the same as they did before surgery. We will see how that goes, too, in the coming months.
We still have a lot to do tonight, with finishing James' dinner and meds, and getting the dressing on his tummy changed out, and unpacking and stuff like that -- and Seth and I still need to eat dinner, too.... but I just wanted to sneak away (into the bathroom) for a sec to update the blog so you all know we are home and doing well... Josiah is crying outside the bathroom door for mommy as I type this! --- I can go into more detail later about the plan for follow-up and so on....
Thank you again SO MUCH if you have been praying for us! The Lord is good.
Lynae
