I've been extremely on edge and anxious the last couple of days. Not sure exactly why, except that when James is sick, momma doesn't do that well.. and because I like to be in control of things, and we're just playing the waiting game, waiting for Caleb to arrive whenever he decides it's time!
James has been congested for almost a month now, and coughs up a bunch of mucus and fluid and stuff every morning onto his bed. He has a UTI, and he also had ketones in his urine, which basically means that he's not getting enough calories, and his body is breaking itself down in order to feed itself. wonderful.
He's been eating and drinking well, but he's also been vomiting a lot again. I'm pretty sure it is just because of the congestion, and if he could just get rid of this cold, he could be healthy again... but it's hanging on for soooo long!
He did weigh 33 pounds, which is up a little from his last weight, so overall, he's not exactly wasting away... but this momma is still worried and flipping out.
My blood pressure was borderline when I saw Dr. Park on Monday, so he had me come in today for a re-check. My blood pressure was high today, so he made me go to the hospital to be monitored. My mom took the boys, and Seth got off work a little early to meet me at the hospital. My blood pressure came down while I was there, and they monitored the baby, too, and he is doing fine. So, they sent me home, but now I'm on bed-rest, and I have to collect my urine for 24 hours, and go back to the hospital on Saturday to be monitored again. The boys are staying the night at my mom's. I have been having regular, but small contractions all afternoon, and am still having them now. They are not the real deal. I know the difference... but it means my body is getting ready!!
There's still time to have Caleb on Oma's birthday... I didn't go into labor with Josiah until 8pm, and he was here by 10:38pm. C'mon, baby boy, let's do this!!!
