Perfect Friday

So far today has been a perfect day. This is the way I always dreamed motherhood would be. We took James to school, and then we drove through BOTH Sin of Cortez and Starbucks (weeeeell, I wanted a criosant with strawberry puree and a cafe con chocolate from Sin, and a fruit, nut, and cheese plate - mainly for the brie - from Starbucks, so we had to hit up both places! Confessions of a foodie snob, I know....sigh)

AnyWAY - Then we went to One Mile and enjoyed the phil and ted's once again! Yes, I loooooove that stroller (oops, I've been meaning to post pictures of it on the blog... I will do that soon....) Anyway, first I nursed Caleb in the parking lot while Joey ate teddy grahams and watched Hide 'em in Your Heart on the van's DVD player (love that thing, too!!) After that, we went down to the water and Josiah loved the water, and ended up getting all wet, even though I had no swim diaper, no bathing suit, and no change of clothes for him! But it's ok, because it's SUMMER, and it's actually warm outside now, even at 9am, so it was all good... He loved the bridge, and watching the water gushing down underneath. He screeched with joy over it, in fact!!! Cutie!!

Then we came home, and Josiah and I sat and held Caleb and adored our newest little love together. Then Josiah played on the grass, ate string cheese and strawberries, and spilled chocolate milk all over his shirt, while I talked on the phone with my mom for a while... Then it was nap time, and Caleb was already snoozing away, so I went to Joey's room with him, and we read a quick book in his bed together, and sang "Jesus loves me" (his request). Man, I LOVE the sweet little singing voice of my sweet little two-year-old love!!!!!

Now, I'm blogging it up, and eating a turkey and jack cheese sandwich on sour dough, with avocado, dijon mustard, vegannaise, and a little pepper. YUM. Oh, and some homemade lemonade.

Yep, it's definitely summer, and I'm one happy momma!!!

I'm missing the beach a LOT lately. Time to try and figure a way to get there... and SOON!!!
