it's 10:41pm. that's not typically late for me, but when i'm pregnant, it is.. i don't sleep very well lately. last night i tossed and turned all night and ended up falling asleep in on the couch in the guest room so as not to wake my hard-working hubby anymore. i woke up at about 4am, and came back to bed.
today i layed down with James for his naptime, and i fell asleep, too! naps are not usually easy for me to take... but i guess when i'm this pregnant, they are! and i could barely get myself up out of his bed (a matress on the floor, actually) when i woke up!! hahaha.
i cleaned the bathrooms today, too, and realized that next time i'm going to have to get some help. it's getting very hard to do normal everyday things...
The Tatros are coming in 3 days, and we're all so excited!! I asked James what he would like to do with his "best friend" Caden when Caden comes to visit. he said he wanted to eat chicken nuggets with him (he's OBSESSED with them). i said, "do you want to share your mickey mouse chicken nuggets with him?" and he said, "yes, i share my mickey mouse chicken nuggets with Caden."
today was a beautiful day again. this nice weather is supposed to last throughout their visit- even better weather than we thought a few days ago... i am soooo glad.
i got my car back from Lenny this morning. he had had it for a 2nd time, and fixed some hoses and stuff. i am thankful..
we've been doing taxes the last couple of days... it is a huge headache when you're self-employed. but they're finally DONE! well, they're turned in to the tax guy at least... hopefully we'll know how much we owe by the time we leave for James' surgery...
work has been consistent for seth. he's been working long hours to make up for the money lost because of the pay cut. i think it is frustrating for him because he works more hours and takes home the same amount on his paycheck... but he doesn't complain. he is handling all of it with so much Christ-likeness.. i am proud of him and thankful for him :)
we're still looking into possibly re-financing our house to pay off my grandpa. He loaned us some money when we bought the house to fix it up and get it livable, but we're paying interest-only on that money, and we'd like to start paying on the principal. i have a meeting with a loan officer on Wednesday the 1st to discuss a possible rate of 4.5% fixed for 30 years!!
my shower is on Tuesday. i registered at the Kat's Meow in downtown Chico today, too. it's a really cute little children's boutique. no one will know that i'm registered there unless they ask me or they happen to go there because i just registered today... but i couldn't resist! and i got a 20% off one item coupon for registering, so it was worth it...
Carla is such a great friend. i am so blessed that she is throwing this shower for me. i thought that i didn't really need anything for Josiah, but i have realized that i actually DO need several little things that i just don't have anymore from when James was a baby..
we're still dying to find out the results of Adam's interview, to see whether he will be working near Paradise and whether they will be moving here... we're praying that they will! friends like the Lefebvres are far and few between....
well, i best try and get some shut-eye once more....
until next time....
