James has had a cold the last few days, and this time he has a cough to go with it! I took him to the doctor yesterday morning, and fortunately it has not become an ear infection or bronchitis or anything like that... Adam and Ashley and Lucy came over for dinner and LOST last night, and although James was excited to see them, he wasn't allowed to touch Lucy because of his yucky cold. I really want him to be healthy and well for his visit with Lexi and Caden Tatro, and for his surgery. Hopefully this cold doesn't hang on too long or turn into an infection or anything like that... It could also be allergies... So far Seth and I haven't cought anything - yet.

We've had some beautiful spring weather lately, and James has actually been playing outside! This is huge for him because he used to get all scraped up, and really couldn't do much on dirt and concrete last year.. Seth has taken him out the last couple of evenings. Now that James crawls on his hands and knees, he can actually do some things outside without me worrying about him scraping up his belly and stuff.. but this summer when he starts to wear shorts again, I'm still not sure what we're going to do about his knees... he has knee pads, but they're kind of a pain - and hot for summer time.

James got his wheel chair last Friday. I need to take some pictures of him in it for the blog. It is so cute - small - just his size... and it has his name embroidered in it in red. We are going to start bringing it to therapy with us, and he can learn to climb in and out of it on his own, so he can decide when it would be helpful for him to use it and when he would rather just crawl. They expect him to be able to use it for about 3 years before he outgrows it, and we are hoping that by then he will have learned to walk using a walker, arm crutches, or something like that. He will probably still get a bigger wheel chair at that point, though, just for long days at the zoo or amusement parks or even shopping and things like that...

I'll post some pics of the wheel chair next time...
