A bunch of doctors are "working" on James' case, and they all want to see him. I've been on the phone with doctors a lot today. I pretty much have had to tell them that I am not traveling to San Francisco unless it is to go to Spina Bifida clinic or to see the neurosurgeons. Now they think he might have autonomic dysreflexia, which is probably caused by the syrinx. What I don't understand is they are trying to get me set up with the correct doctors to "manage" all of these symptoms, instead of just moving the process along to get surgery done sooner, which would be the best way to manage (eliminate, actually) the symptoms, and then we wouldn't need the whole host of specialists to begin with!

So now Dr. Gumpta - the neurosurgeon at UCSF - has sent James' most recent MRI to Dr. Ciricillo's office for his review, but now he wants James to have an office visit with Dr. Ciricillo, too, so that he will be thoroughly informed about James' status when they discuss a treatment plan for James (whenever that might be -- probably six months from now, or so....) SIGH. So I get to go down to Sacramento either tomorrow or Thursday, probably.. Oh man.
