MIRACLE

I had my first pregnancy appointment this morning, and everything went well. I always get nervous right before the first appointment because I know now what everything is SUPPOSED to be like, and I start wondering if everything is going to be just the way we think... But it was. Strong heartbeat, no surprise twins or triplets, no problems that they can see. YAY!

My mom and Josiah came with me, and we called Seth at work so he could hear the heartbeat, too, over the phone. It was a blessed time. I can't wait to show James the pictures tonight when he gets home from school and playcare, because he is old enough to get it a little better this time. I had bought him a doll when I was pregnant with Josiah, and he wasn't too interested in it, but this time, he wants his doll all the time, he sleeps with it, and he gives it sips of his juice. He has all kinds of questions about the baby in my tummy. It is more fun to watch him process all of it this time...

My 18 week appointment will most-likely be on Monday, November 29th -- the Monday just following Thanksgiving. That is the appointment where Dr. Park will be able to tell us whether it's a boy or girl. We really want to do something creative this time to reveal the gender to everyone at the same time - including ourselves! We will probably have Dr. Park put either a blue or pink paper in an envelope, or something like that.. We have some ideas that are more Christmas-related, too... So we will see. But we definitely want to have a gender revealing party!!

I don't take this little life for granted. There is too much agony in this world to take such a perfect miracle for granted!!!

THANK YOU, GIVER OF LIFE & GIVER OF EVERY GOOD AND PERFECT GIFT! JESUS!!!
