I've been into cereal lately. And Italian sodas. I finally bought some strawberry and blackberry monin syrups from cash and carry, so I can make them at home. Much cheaper.. and I can put more whipped cream than they do at places.
Still waiting to find the perfect double stroller, like this Phil and Ted's Vibe, but USED. Yeah, not for $700 bucks! haha......I've had a few leads, but nothing that ever turned into anything... Hoping to keep it under $300. I really only have $200 saved.... I'm just gonna keep checking Craigslist, and hopefully find one in CHICO - although there is never anything posted in Chico -- they're all in Sac or San Fran.... sigh....
I spoke to Caroline (neurosurg NP) on the phone the other day about the results of James MRI last week. I guess the syrinx actually looks bigger, even though you wouldn't know it because of his function, since his arms have been working better, and he has been feeling better, overall, in the last several weeks. Dr. Gupta and team feel that as long as he is stable, it is better not to do any type of surgery. Too risky. So, we wait..... and hope. That he just continues to improve, and gain back some of what was lost........ sigh......
James has been going in his stander every day, sometimes more than once a day! I am so happy for him that he is able to be back in the stander, because I have been wanting to get back into that routine with him for MONTHS, but it has been one thing after another!!! Recovering from shunt revisions, lots of pain, stiffness.... But he is in a fairly stable and healthy state for the first time in almost a year! YAY!
Josiah has been enjoying gymnastics more and more. This morning, he wasn't scared to participate in the warm up song, or to go under and over the parachute. He was very excited, and he even remembered that I had said we're going to gymnastics, and asked about it again when we were on our way there... Such a smarty!! He is definitely advanced for his age, physically, and this class has been a great outlet for him! Only one more class left - next Wednesday! This first session went by really fast!!
Been planning birthday parties around here. One of my FAVORITE things to do!!! I really need to get the invitations for James' out, like, NOW.
