It's FRIIIIIIIDAY! yay! Dropped James off to school in the wee hours of the morning this morning, took Josiah to KinderMusik, where he was cute, cute, cute!! Hit up Trader Joe's. And tonight's girl's night at my house!!! Seth's camping one last time before summer's totally outta here (just one night, tonight) -- Lyndsey's picking up James from playcare for me.
Man, this baby has been KICKING MY BUTT! Seriously. I am dead tired every day, all day, and I feel very yucky. I'm extremely thankful for my mom who has been "the cleaning fairy" at my house in the mornings when I'm in Chico dropping James off, and for Becky Wion who has been James' reading buddy, Josiah's babysitter, and my house-cleaner, too, on Tuesday and Thursday this week, when James was home with me. Between my amazing husband, mom, and friend Becky, I have had plenty of time for resting, and I sure have needed it!!
Since the guys are either camping or dorking out tonight (haha) - Jessica, Carla, and Lynds are coming over for girl's night, and I am really looking forward to it! It's nice to have some normalcy in the midst of all the chaos lately! I'm thankful for friends who are willing to bring girl's night to my house, so that I am able to participate. And I'm thankful that my kids go to bed fairly early, so the rest of the night is ours! (if i make it past 8pm!)
James has been doing ok. He still has several headaches every day. Yesterday was a particularly hard day. He says, "be careful, mommy" every time I have to move him from one position to another, or pick him up. He saw the pediatrician yesterday. Everything was good, except he did have high blood pressure. It is still very difficult to send him to school, and to watch him suffer like this. I really hope that God gives James' doctors wisdom so that there is something that can be done, and all of this seems like a distant nightmare in just a few months. I fear that it is going to be more of a long lasting trial than that, but I still have hope that he can possibly gain back some of his function that was lost, and that they will know what to do to relieve his pain.
The weather has been cooler, and it is a reminder that fall is coming. Makes me want to turn on the oven and bake, make soup, pull out the scarves and sweaters...
still not looking forward to a long winter, though. never been a winter girl.
Taste of Chico this Sunday! YEEEESSS!!!
That's about it for now.
